DRAINAGE TO THE RIGHT OF THE 15TH GREEN

Following the bunker improvement work at the 15th green complex two years ago - the area behind the right hand greenside bunker had become problematic due waterlogging and poor drainage. We decided to install a herringbone drainage system into this area in early November. We hope to have the area back in play as soon as the turf settles.

16th FAIRWAY RETURFING

The bottleneck area between the upper and lower sections of the 16th fairway has recently been returfed. The gorse bush has been removed and the path will be filled in and returfed when the newly laid turf has established. Arguably, the change has made the area slightly less punishing, although the gap between being in heather on the right or in the quarry on the left is still very narrow. This area has suffered from bad wear and tear over many years, resulting in almost unplayable lies and unsightly bare ground. We hope the changes will have solved this problem.

6TH AND 8TH TIGER TEES

Several years ago we installed tiger tees at the 6th and 8th holes. These have proved to be successful and we've recently extended the size of them.
