 Juniors

James will be running coaching sessions open to all junior members and family/friends of members. This follows our initiative started by Mark Lawrie and will continue throughout the year. The technology

Technology now plays a huge role in golf swing development and we use the Achiever launch monitor and GASP computerised Coaching system, which helps to highlight the pupils strengths and weaknesses.

Huxley modular training mat provides a pefectly true and consistend roll enabling a solid and consistent stroke to be developed and grooved by the pupil indoors. As we all know, putting accounts for 40 - 50% of your score and is the quickest way to improve your score!

A further tool that we use is the Explanar swing system which enables the pupil to experience swinging at their optimum biomechanical plane, turning swing thoughts into swing feelings.

It is this feeling that fast-tracks swing development of all standards of golfer from beginner to advanced.

The Explanar swing system is proving to be popular amongst the membership. Several members have already benefited enormously from it and I’m pleased to say that it’s more effective than we’d hoped!

Once a member has received instruction on the Explanar and is proficient in its use, it can then be hired (by booking) for a 15 minute practice session for £5.00. Alternatively 5 sessions can be purchased for £20.00.

Initially the pupil receives a free 15 minute assessment before a personalised improvement plan is developed and agreed upon.

Technology is now playing an even greater role in golf swing improvement and at Ian’s indoor academy your swing can be analysed on the gasp video system and achiever launch monitor, highlighting both your strong and weak points.

If being able to see your swing helps, then feeling the correct swing is invaluable. This is achieved through the explanar swing trainer, which allows the pupil to experience their optimum biomechanical swing helping to create muscle memory. This system is described by Butch Harmon as the best he’s ever seen, and uses it every day at his own golf school.
