1923 The 18 hole course is opened;
the clubhouse was then housed at the Wheatsheaf Hotel (now the Links).
Charles Ambrose plays off the 1st (now the 10th) tee - the course
is the reverse of its present design.
World War II. Liphook is a hub of military
depots; the course is photographed by the Luftwaffe.
1949. The old course design is changed
to its present layout.
1961. The new clubhouse is opened.
1963. Angela Bonallack beats Elizabeth
Chadwick in the final of the English Ladies Close Championship.
1973. The first Admirals Cup and
their pennants are piped up the flagpole.
1983. Prisoners en route to the
Isle of Wight escape from their warders and disturb Liphook ladies
playing their monthly medal.
