Liphook Golf Club

Hole 14 - The Pulpit

A short dog-leg par 4. The mound on which the Ladies’ tee is a Bronze Age Burial Barrow dating back to 500BC. Off the tee there are two routes to the green. Really long hitters can go straight for the green between an avenue of trees with bunkers to carry at 280 yards. Or you can play the hole more cautiously by playing to the left of the trees. Take enough club from the tee as you can’t afford to block yourself off. The green is small and well protected by run-off with Liphook’s own valley of sin at the front left hand corner.
