The Hayling Trophy has once more been won by Liphook in a tremendous final against Romsey, runners-up three times, down at Hayling Golf Club this week. The photographs are of the team playing in the final, but, of course, there were other players in previous rounds who are not shown here. Several of them  joined Liphook as temporary members such a short time ago - it only shows what enthusiasm there is in the Bronze Division. They will surely be continuing their rise up the ladder to the Silver Division very soon.

The Hayling Trophy was last won by Liphook in 2004 and strenuous efforts will be made to repeat the success next year.

On the right are some of the trolley-pullers who have helped the players on the road to success. Where would we be without them?

Supporting our teams in events like this can be very rewarding and means a lot to players on what can sometimes seem like alien ground. It helps to know that someone is rooting for you and ready with a little encouragement when things are difficult - or hold an umbrella when it is pouring with rain!
