The Junior section caters for boys and girls aged between 8 and 18 and has a membership of 120.  This includes 20 girls, which is believed to be the highest number in golf clubs in the local area.  We run a very active programme of competitions, matches with other clubs and professional coaching.

The section is run by a Committee comprising Peter Wallis, Rachel Reed, Ian Mowbray (Club Professional) and the Junior Captain, Alexandra Herson.  The Committee is supported by a large number of adult members who chaperone young members in the junior competitions and help to manage matches. The Professional staff at Liphook offers numerous free coaching sessions for the Juniors.

The Junior section was proud to achieve the prestigious EGU/EWGA GolfMark Award in February 2010.  GolfMark is a national scheme that identifies and recognises junior and beginner friendly golf facilities.  Assessment for GolfMark status took place in three key areas : coaching & playing; club environment (including sports equity & ethics); child protection & duty of care.  For more details about GolfMark go to www.golfmark.org
