Information and Procedures – October  2015


For New Members to the Bohunt Manor Golf Club.


Welcome, this document is to collect together information that you should find helpful to enjoy your membership.


Clubhouse access: Key – please remember to lock the door with the key when exiting


Essential reading:

  • Fixtures & Membership booklet
  • Rules/Byelaws booklet
  • Current BMGC usage/access to course and facilities

On our notice boards:

  • Dress code for clubhouse areas and the golf course
  • Usage of Club house facilities by Bohunt GC members
  • Current list of handicaps
  • New member contact details
  • Previous Minutes from committee meetings
  • Any changes to published information …. e.g. contact information, fixture/date changes etc. in booklet.
  • Information notices… like “Playing in Foggy/Poor conditions”, “Supplementary Cards” (for handicap adjustments etc.)
  • Future Competitions (usually up 4 weeks in advance).

You are responsible for putting your name up and then ensuring you turn up, on time, to play. If you are unable to play you need to advise your playing partner(s) and generally you would be expected to find an alternate member to take your place.

  • Future Matches (usually up 4 weeks in advance).

You can put your name up on the list and the Captain will select a team and be in contact to confirm you are able to play. The Captain will be able to provide location and dress code information etc. for all matches. There is a match fee for both home and away matches to pay a contribution for the food supplied.


Rollups:

Wednesdays 11am (10:30-10:45 to be in draw)

Fridays 11am (10:30-10:45 to be in draw)

Fridays 1:30pm (1:00-1:15 to be in draw) – May be earlier during Winter


Insurance:

The club does NOT cover members for any damage or personal injury and thus it is advised to check your home insurance for cover or to take out a specific golf insurance.


Bar Card:

You should receive a bar card which also provides access to the clubhouse. You will need to load some credit to the card prior to use and will then be able to gain a discount on food and drink in the clubhouse.


Pro shop Loyalty Card:

The ProShop have a loyalty card to enable you to amass points/money against future purchases.


Competition Prize money:

Note that within the membership subs we cover competition entry and thus prize money. Prizes are paid onto your ProShop or Bar Card account for you to use (Need to let treasurer know your preference – default is to Pro-shop).


Committee:

The committee are in place to ensure the smooth running of the club and clearly are representing all members in decisions etc. As such, please discuss/tell any committee member of any issue/questions/suggestions etc. Where required items put to a committee member will be brought to the next monthly meeting for discussion/action.


Hampshire Card:

A card is available from the Hampshire Golf secretary to allow subsidised green fees on many golf courses around Hampshire. Information available from BMGC Secretary.
