It may be helpful for you to know when the 1st and 10th tees are likely to be occupied by regular groups of members who tend to play at the same time each week.
There are three groups of golfers which occupy the tees for periods of time:
First are the visiting societies, company days, club matches and competitions, Ladies’, Juniors’ and Bohunt events. Their starting times are displayed in the Diary.
Second are roll-ups open to all male members which play off the 10th tee on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Third are groups of friends who like to go out together at the same time each week – and sometimes more than once a week. These have the same rights as other golfers – on the first tee, the order of play is ruled by the balls in the chute, on the 10th, by the arrival of all players in each group.
The following is a rough guide which will hopefully help all members and reduce congestion.
