Green Teapot Event – Wednesday 5th June 2019
Please note - although it says yellow and red tees above - this competition is played from the green tees by both men and ladies. The Green Teapot event is for LGC members who are aged 80 or over on the date of the event. It is an individual Stableford competition played from the green tees by both men and ladies over 18 holes with provision for a team competition as well.
If you will have reached your eightieth birthday by 5 June 2019 you will be eligible to take part in the annual meeting of the Green Teapot Society which will be held 0900-1030 Wednesday 5 June. There will be competitions for the Green Teapot and the Green Tea Caddy.
The competition for the Green Teapot will consist of 18 holes Stableford starting at the 1st hole and playing from the green tees. The format will be three balls, each team of three comprising where possible two men and one lady, playing individually and as a team. Full CONGU handicaps will apply, with three additional shots for ladies.
The competition for the Green Tea Caddy will be over 12 holes, starting straight after the Teapot competition.
There will be a sit-down rolling lunch, dress informal, cost £20 (cash please, payable at the desk in the hall on arrival). If you are playing but do not want lunch please indicate this to the email address below.
